In one of my earlier posts I eluded to the big changes that have happened in my world.
One of those things was changing workplace after 9 years at the same school. I have left a great bunch of work mates and I do miss them terrible but sometimes you have to be the change.
I have been gone nearly two months and although not regretting the change I am feeling the loss of the people. People that know you well, your family life and your work life, your sense of humour and your emotions. My new workplace has a lovely team and I have felt welcomed but they don't know me. I hope they will eventually
I had an amazing send off from my work colleagues and I thought I'd share some of the festivities here too.
The theme they went with was 'so long, farewell' and I think you can guess where this is heading......
This was my work desk and the theme song for the day was the So long, farewell song from the Sound of Music. So many emotions....
biscuits and cakes courtesy of my work bestie.
Latest stitchery ready to get stitched down.
thanks for making it this far....
Have a great week

It is a big change to move job place, I am sure the new crew will know you very soon. Loved the photos from your goodbye!! Great cakes and bikkies. Love the snow globes and well done with the begonia.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the new adventure. That Hellebore is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun send off. Love your snow globes. The hellebore is gorgeous. I have a plant called strawberry shortcake which was in the ground, didn't do well so i moved it to a different spot did a little better but by the time i decided to pot it up it was little more than a stick with a few leaves. It has gone crazy in the pot & so many flowers. More than it's ever done in the 3 or so years it was in the ground. :)
ReplyDeleteThat is a big change in your life. The send off looks to have been great fun. Your snow cones are progressing nicely and that is a beautiful hellebore.
ReplyDeleteGosh it sounds like it must have been quite a decision to make, to leave after 9 years. It sounds like you were well loved and treasured; I hope that, with time, your new workplace can feel the same. Love your little globes - such a cute idea. I've never successfully grown Hellebores - love yours!
ReplyDeletechanging jobs after that long is hard.... it's always the friendships that you miss the most. Did you move to a similar job? Love the snowglobes and thanks again for letting me do them too. Can I ask what size is your background block? The hellebore is such a delicate looking flower, I think it's too hot for them here...

Your send off looks like it was a lot of fun. Yes, it i hard to leave a group as good as that. But sometimes a change is needed. I hope the new workplace settles down and you enjoy it as much as the old place.
ReplyDeleteLove the biscuits and cakes that were made. And the pictures were very entertaining.
Your snow globe collection is steadily growing and looking great.
That hellebore is gorgeous. I used to grow them at our previous home, but no luck here where I am now. Looks like growing in a pot works for you!
