saturday sewing....

I have been spending some great sewing time putting together the shoo fly blocks.

Today they got finished up and there is a lovely pile of blocks that can sit and wait to be organised into a top. I haven't decided how I will put them together..... no rush.. I saw a great video from Missouri star quilt company for a disappearing shoo fly block. Very interesting option.

I love the 1930's fabrics they are so pretty and fresh.

some more little 9 patch blocks and Basket blocks have been accumulating - just need to get some pics of them after I press the marks off.

Back to work next week, will definitely miss my sewing time.

Happy days

Marina

Saturday with friends

I had a lovely catch up yesterday at Patch and Quilt in Gisborne with sewing friends. Most of us go back to when there  used to be quarterly...
