what do you think?

Yesterday I popped into GJ's for their 25% sale.
I generally like to buy my wadding when they have a sale but I just couldn't commit to which type to buy so I wandered around the shop looking at all the loveliness when I spied a gorgeous green fabric. (ok it had a couple of friends with it) The extra off white is for my stitching stash.

I had a flash of inspiration-perhaps this would be a great fabric to make stepping stones for my novelty hexie flowers?
I really like the colour and had a play with the flowers on the fabric this morning.

Would love some feedback...
 cheers
marina

ps I have reactivated word verification as I have been having some spam referral issues. Anthea (from Hibiscus stitches) has been investigating and one of the websites she linked to suggested that word verification may help stop the spammers. If it doesn't make any difference I will switch it off again.
Hope this doesn't put anyone off commenting.....

Hello Marina,

I think the chosen fabric is perfect and how lucky that your chosen fabric had some friends that were willing to come too.

Happy sewing.
Bev.

Love the greens and the hexies look great on it too. You have a beautiful collection of hexies too. I don't get spam comments but I choose to moderate comments instead so they don't get posted unless I have selected them. Spam is a pain but I have also noticed that the film blog thing Anthea mentioned has also been on my blog but not as many hits as she has had from them.

I think the green really works as a background. It seems to go with all the colours in the hexies......just like grass goes with flowers in the garden. I hope you bought enough!

Really like the green that you have picked. You know I am not a "green" person but the hexies look great on it. You certainly have a lot.

It was destiny that made you go to the sale and find that fabric. It was meant to be. I just love seeing your fussy cut hexes. It will be a superb quilt.
