a week of this and that..

I have really enjoyed my reward week of working on whatever I wanted to.
Some new carpet laid mid week took a big chunk out of my crafty time as we had to remove everything then put it all back again. Thank goodness we only did the one room! That was stressful enough.

the little girls of the world are altogether and I just need to decide on whether it needs a border or not? I do like it without the border but it just needs to be a little bigger.....
The Dr Seuss quilt was delivered to the quilters so I just have to wait for that one to come back for binding and that will be another ufo done. Gotta love that!

I got my bunny stitchery finished and even got excited enough to get the borders done. You may notice that I have reversed mr rabbit as I just prefer him walking this way. Odd I know but that's just me. I dipped into my civil war fabrics for the piecing and chose a lovely purple. The colour doesn't show true but I thought purple would be a great Easter colour.
I just love these stitcheries and am almost finished may's one. The border may not get done quite as quickly but you never know. Then to quilt them!

(note to self-remove stray threads before photographing)

Back to normal next week, I will miss all this crafting time but that's the way the cookie crumbles.
Happy stitching!
Marina

the quilt top and bunny booth look great! I would put a border around it though as it will finish it off just nicely and give you that little bit extra width etc. I remember when we had all the floor coverings replaced over a three week period. Carpet store thought I was nuts to spread it over such a long time but worked well for us because I had enough time in between to shift everything out of the next section to be done. Such a huge job but will never need doing again!

Wow! You accomplished a lot. I can't imagine how much more would have been done if you didn't lay the carpet. LOL
As usual. I love it all. Those bunnies are ridiculously cute!

Your little girls quilt is simply gorgeous. It's just so pretty and a good balance of stitchery and piecing. I think another border would be good, do you have any of the centre fabrics left? Your bunny is also lovely.....I really like that civil war purple with a hint of chocolate, great choice.

Your Girls of the World quilt looks great. Definitely add a border. You could even do a square border like the center and then frame it in another, again like the center. hugs

The girl quilt is gorgeous. Mr bunny is looking very smart with his basket of eggs. Looks like a very productive break at your place.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

New carpet is lovely... but a nuisance to cut into crafting time!!! haha.....
love your dolls quilt... I wonder what you have decided about the border... and your rabbit is just great... are the eggs appliqued on? I couldn't see clearly...
And having your individualness of walking the other way.... did make me giggle!

I agree - I prefer the rabbit walking in that direction too. Love the Girls of the World quilt - it's really pretty, especially in those B&C fabrics.

Beautiful work Marina - isn't it sad when the holidays come to an end and reality happens!! Love the rabbit!

I love that you have a preference to the direction he is walking! I think along those same lines. I actually drew him like you stitched him, but when I traced the design it was in reverse.
Love the colors you used!
Happy stitching!
