Teddy bears picnic

Today I have organised to join Melody's teddy bear's picnic. I have managed to organise some teddies to come along. They are picnicking in the flower bed.
The little bear with the green spiky tuft is one I bought a fair few years ago as he was so cute. The little one in the middle is named Bumbles. Mum bought him at a porcelain doll and teddy show for no. 2 son when he was young. He would often have a 'grumpy' face and Bumbles was his perfect match. The well worn bear on the right has a little story. My good friend and I, when we were young teens, decided that we would swap a treasured item with each other. I gave her my old kangaroo skin Koala bear and she gave me this bear. His is well worn and he was very special to her. I don't know if she still has my Koala but I hope so.

If you would like to have a look at other teddy picnics pop over to Melody's blog
Looking forward to the weekend!

What a treasured trio. There is something wonderful about old teds...they look wise or something... like they know all your secrets but won't tell!

All these teddies are adorable but the little old teddy on the right is amazing. Your friend must have valued you so much to give you such a well loved little bear. Thanks so much for coming on the picnic.

Those are three special bears joining the picnic today. Seeing the old ones reminds me of some in my family, and the one with the green hair looks like a cheeky character.
Thanks for sharing.

They are a lovely collection, I especially like the one you swapped with your friend. We have one similar, but I think he has disappeared into hibernation in the loft and forgotten it is summer! I will have to see if I can hunt him down.

I love your bears! My son has what looks like the same bear as the one in the middle, he was given it when he was born and he is 10 now. It is his most prized and loved possession, he still sleeps with his bear every night and gets really upset if he is missing!
