new santas..

Every year I like to get a new santa well this year there will be two! I went to a market night at the school I worked at last Friday and they had these adorable door stop santas.
The next afternoon I went shopping and found this lovely at Coles. I think he is gorgeous and no one has offered to take him to the shooting range!
Craftiness has included preparing hexies for a new hexie flower project. I have cut a jelly roll of Park Avenue by 3 sisters. I have mailed my Swap package for Judit's Christmas swap so it is winging it's way to Hungary.
Last weekend I prepared the Stitching round the block for my contribution to the block.
I have added a few little things that I hope will turn out nicely.
Here is a sneak peak....

Hopefully the photos have all loaded ok! No more giant multiple photos lol.
See you tomorrow for Tuesday Treasures...
cheers
Marina

  1. Super Santa's..... You are the queen of backstitch - I try so hard to get mine as neat as yours!!! You must have a magic trick.... please share??? I also did a cobweb but it looks like the spider fell into the wine I needed when I did the hexagons... but you told me not to drink it incase they became octagons...... it is on yours so you will see what I mean!! I think you will love it though.... colours are so pretty....

  2. I love your Santas too. And I agree your backstitch is the benchmark for me too. I try to get mine as even as your but there is just no way I can match your perfection. You are a star.

  3. Great santa's I especially like the second one. Wonderful stitching. Still waiting for my thumb to heal...it is in an awkward position and just as I think it is okay it starts bleeding again...not good.

    Well just off to yoga!

  6. Your new santas are cute - I particularly like the door stop - functional and decorative. Please don't let the other santa go to the shooting range!
I have made a similar Christmas tree but I like your idea of using the "real" reel. My base is too light and thin and topples over all the time. I can now make a slight adjustment. Thank you for the tip.

  7. I love your new Santa's. I need to get up in the rafters of my garage and get all mine out. You are getting me in the spirit.
