these blocks are sewn ready to send for the bush fire appeal. I have already sent a top to Maree in Qld, Mrs Martins quilt shop in Victoria is also collecting so I will send her some squares too. I love this buggy fabric. I have almost completely used the stash of this fabric. I have made 4 kiddies throws so far this will make 5 and there is just enough left to make one more! Talk about value-or just overbuying at the start?

How cute is this lovely embroidery. It was done by my mother as a young girl. My grandmother had kept it all this time. My mum is so crafty, the back of her work is as neat as the front even back then. I am glad I inherited her love of craft.
I want to make it up into something little-perhaps a small wall hanging. Just waiting for the inspiration and happy to treasure it for now.

Roll on the weekend.......

  1. OK, I think I did what you did on my blog. I forget to refresh my link so I didn't see new entries. I love the embroidery from your mom...it's great to have items like that to pass from one generation to the next! This is the first close-up of the BOM I've seen too. Jenifer
